Daily Food for Thought

#Bent Trees: The call to be different…

“‘Treat one another justly. Love your neighbors. Be compassionate with each other. Don’t take advantage of widows, orphans, visitors, and the poor. Don’t plot and scheme against one another—that’s evil.’ Zech. 7:9-10 The Message.

Just recently I was in a group of people who were doing it tough and the word dignity was used a fair bit. There was some negative talk about how people in general treated them poorly but most of the conversation was around the blessing of being treated with dignity by this group. It got me thinking about how important dignity is. I looked it up… to treat someone else with respect and to value them because of their intrinsic worth. Sounds like Grace to me, or Agape love. Its my big word for 2020. Dignity. I want to get really good at it.

    1. Thanks Mel. Debbie and I both commented after the MECS 6th Grade Graduation last week that all of you do a great job of treating the kids with dignity. This gives them a really good start as they venture into those unknown years of High School. Well done!
