The Day Australia Lost Her Soul

Photo You didn't do it for me

Mark the date December 4th, 2019. If Australia hasn’t lost her soul over the last few years then it certainly did today. A secret deal between the Coalition Government and Independent Jacqui Lambie meant that the Medevac Law was repealed. (https://www.theguardian.com/australianews/2019/dec/04/medevac-repeal-bill-passes-after-jacqui-lambie-makes-secret-deal-with-coalition).

To add to that human rights tragedy is the idea that the Government thinks it has done a really good thing, and that justice has prevailed. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Our Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, testifies that he is a follower of Jesus. Why oh why can’t he see that this repeal is something that causes grief and mourning to the Jesus he is trying to follow… not to mention anger! Wake up Mr. Morrison. Where are your spiritual advisors when they are needed most? You need to be reminded of a few things that Jesus said…

“Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels! For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink; I was a stranger and you didn’t take me in; I was naked and you didn’t clothe me, sick and in prison and you didn’t take care of me.’ Then they too will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or without clothes, or sick, or in prison, and not help you?’ Then He will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me either.’ Matt. 25:42-45.

This is serious stuff Prime Minister. Serious stuff!
